yes
the pirc is similar to the sicilian by how it creates imbalances quickly and can lead to sharp games
but if white wants to he can allways play it quietly and positionaly which forces you to know common ideas and plans so you arent just out of moves and confused, the quiet pirc often becomes a benoni without e6 (which is hard to play as black due to not many plans)

There are only a few relevant anti-Sicilians and then all the rest are just random moves.
Like "you shouldn't play the Sicilian because there are so many anti-Sicilians like the Wing Gambit and Bowdler Attack".
Is the same as "you shouldn't play the Caro-Kann because there are so many lines like the Hillbilly Attack and Labahn Attack".
All angry puffer does is list every possible good or bad move after 1. e4 c5, and then says "you shouldn't play the Sicilian because of all these moves".
You could do this for any other opening. You play the Caro-Kann and opponent plays 2. a3, now you're totally confuzzled and have no idea what to do because you're totally out of your prep. Maybe it's not good but you won't know what to do because you've never seen it before.
This is the type of glue-sniffing rhetoric that is being repeated.
