It is also my favorite because it opens up one of the bishops and the queen.
what is your favorite chess opening?

1.b3 is my favourite, but if I had to choose a line involving 1.e4 I'd go with the Bishop's Gambit (1...e5 2.f4 ef4 3.Bc4).

1. Sicilian Defence: Najdorf, English Attack.
2. Sicilian Defence: Sozin's Attack.
3. Alekhine's Defence.
4. King's Gambit.
5. Reti Opening.
ADK
I don't usually play 1 e4, but when I do these are the openings that I use most often:
1 e4 e5 2 Nf3 Nc6 3 d4 ed 4 Bc4
1 e4 e5 2 Nf3 Nf6 3 d4
1 e4 c5 2 c3
1 e4 c6 2 d4 d5 3 Nc3 de 4 Bc4
1 e4 e6 2 d4 d5 3 c4 de 4 Nc3
1 e4 d6 2 d4 Nf6 3 Nc3 g6 4 f4

The Ruy Lopez is always great when I play White.
The ones I see people play the most here are the Scandinavian Defense, French Defense, Sicilian Defense, and Ruy Lopez: Berlin Defense.

As white, I open with 1.d4, but as black, I LOVE the sicilian accelerated dragon. I seem to have great success with it.

As white d4 all the way, I love playing against the KID.
As black typically I experiment with the Sicilian.

Well lately I've been playing the Konstantinopolsky Opening to some success, but no on hardly ever plays it.

These are my favorite double king pawn openings.
1. Max-Lang Attack
2. Evan's Gambit
3. King's Gambit (Although I wish I knew more about it.)

4 knights spanish varation, Ruy lopez, Silician defense calasical varation.
Dutch defense, and ware crab varation and GLOBAL opening, but the later 2 are on a bad day.
I've been playing chess for a few years now, and find that I like the King pawn opening 1. e4. This move to have a varity of great defenses. So, my question is what 1. e4 opening is your favorite and why?
