I only play the Sokolsky opening now with white. Being a very average, intermediate and occasional social player I play B4 which is a weapon against higher ranked opponents for draw opportunities due to the element of surprise and the ability to play positional chess from move 1 rather than book move traditional openings which strong players knows back to front inside out as shown endlessly above

But not the Sokolsky!!

Agreed. It is a weapon if you play the newest improved version. Most chess players don’t see it often and there is excellent structure playing white with it if you follow the newest version theory.
