What opening do you prefer?

My top three are: Ruy Lopez,Slav Defense,French Defense
I like Ruy Lopez as well, but I would not do it that is too agressive for me
Modern, I haven't heard of that one. How do you perform that opening.
My favorite is "Did it hurt?" When she looks puzzled the follow up is; "Did it hurt when you fell from heaven?" :))- Oh chessically, KGambit, Leningrad Dutch.

As White: King's Gambit, Bird's Opening, Scotch Game
As Black: Two Knights Defense (Ulvestad Variation), Benoni Defense (typically by transposition to avoid the particularly nasty Taimanov variation), Caro-Kann Defense
Ruy Lopez, Grand Prix Attack, and French Defense

The best opening for me is it which I win games! I am 2000player and I thing that the best opening is 1. d4!? For black i´d like play najdorf - to face 1.e4 - and to face 1.d4 queens indian defend.

The trap that judgeoftheknight fell for is called the Costage. Nxe5? is a blunder that loses a piece.
oh yea..thats a mistake there....im the black..wrote my name on the top...how can dat be my fav opening if i lost against it??
Judgeofthenight, if in that second game white played 22. Bg5, surely the game could have progressed?
my top three openings that I know so far are Cole System, queen gambit opening, and Guiccio Piano (if black is set up perfectly for this one)
