Sorry. Not enough chest hair.

Zenith0516

i play the caro

najdorf96

indeed. I play the Caro•Kann but even I wouldn't say it's THE Solid defense against 1. e4. Certainly it staunches any opening fireworks if white tries to over run you from the start but there are residual concessions that linger going into the middlegame. On the other hand, if you're experienced you know the feeling of breaking alot of the hearts of over aggressive opponents.

The Najdorf is for knuckle-dragging, hairy-backed MEN!

I prefer Caro Kann and Petroff

Knuckle-dragging, hairy-backed women can play it, too.

That’s great that it’s so inclusive!

The Alekhines defence used to be my main weapon vs. e4, but nowadays I am playing the Portugese and Icelandic gambits more often.

Can you give me a line in the alekhine please

I play Caro - Kann c6

c5. Is the only response I play because I enjoy the imbalance and counter play.

Zenith0516

I either play c5 or c6

Zenith0516

but i don't play c5 very often

Nothing wrong with the Caro-Kann; it’s very solid and you play it well against the English.
