What openings do you like to play?

I do like 1.d4 but I also like playing the KIA Kings Indian Attack

Mine is with white 1 d4 2 Nf3 3 g3 4 Bg2 5 0-0 6 c4 (there's are exceptions to the sequence, depending on what black does) and with black the Petroff against 1 e4, the Tarrasch Defense against 1 d4.

I use two repertoire books with each:

White - Keep It Simple 1 d4 and Strategic Play With 1 d4. Both books use the White sequence.

Black after 1 e4: Playing the Petroff / A Complete Opening Repertoire For Black 1 e4 e5

Black after 1 d4: Fight 1 d4 With The Tarrasch / The Tarrasch Defense

The Complete Opening Repertoire For Black 1 e4 e5 book doesn't cover The Petroff (it uses 2...Nc6) but it is useful to me if I want to play any of its repertoire, instead of the Playing The Petroff's repertoire choices, against White's early alternatives moves such as the Center Game, King's Gambit. etc.

I like having two books for each because then I can pick from each book one or the other in lines, or both.

I like 1. Nf3 as white and transpose to an enjoyable game depending on how black responds.

As black, 1.c5 or Nf6 depending on what white is aiming for.
