the rule is- 1)knight before bishops then 2)bishops  3)casle  4)have rooks controling the open files.

at 1)e4 the rules above are ground rules.

at 1)d4 pawns develop before the knighets. as follows- d4,c4,nc6,e6,nf6,bd3,0-0

at 1)c4 its peace order of placement is similar to e4 exept the bishops dont usualy develop to the 5 rank but to the 2 rank for def insteaf of attak reson being c4 is a def opening wile e4 is a agresive opening.

in chess there are allways exceptions BUT bishop openings are not commen at all and for a good reson

i never said mblum33 is a beginer in fact his rating is higher then yours. i offerd my understanding on the 3 main openings and let mblum33 know i teach opening theory and ideas, i offer it to you as well and have no idea why you are being offensive

Depending on the situation, either pawns or knights, as they're good close range attackers, and I usually try to develop my pieces(they're good at defending developed pieces) and control the centre(extremely powerful at seizing power of at least two squares and fiercely defending them), I prefer to use them.

Exceptions are for when I use my Queen or Bishop for some devastating long-range attack, or for when someone's important piece(anything except a pawn) is in the line of fire of a piece and isn't protected.
