What's the best gambit?

Fischer believes the KG is busted, since he is probably one of the best 3 players in the world, I'd believe him. The QG is about as drawish as the Ruy Lopez, maybe even more.
The KG isn't busted, why don't u show one line that shows its busted. Fischer was a chess legend, but I dont think he would stand well against our tough new generation, Carlsen, Nakamura, Karjarkin, etc. (IMO)
And what variation do u play of QG? Some ARE drawish, but others are the most cutthroat variations in the history of chess.

What does the sicilian game have to do with anything? And Fischer would crush those players that you named. Fischer busted the King's Gambit with the move 3...d6.

Yeah? Than how come Fischer used the KG himself? 19 times, with a record of 73.7%% wins, and the rest draws/losses.
And fischers record with the d6 line wasn't as good as the record with him using kg

Fischer used it until he realized it sucks, and published the bust to it. Fischer used the KG because he was the best in his time, he used whatever he wanted to use.

It depends what type of a game a player is looking for. The Queen's Gambit is a solid opening, that to me doesn't seem like a gambit, because white will either retain his pawn, or crush black with his center. "The_Gavinator" even if the king'
s gambit is refuted, we are not Grand Masters. I don't think I could prove why the King's gambit is refuted, neither could most chess players on this site.

Fischer played the king's gambit in three tournament games, all of them after 1961 which is when he published that article.

How do I hop on badwaggons? I'm one of the like 10 people on this site that likes the Parham, you are hopping on the bandwaggon by joining the others who troll me lol...

In the queen's gambit you can go into the Catalan, which is the only system that ever interested me from d4. Stuff the pawn, look at that long diagonal.

I stopped playing the King's Gambit because of the Berlin Defense to the Kieseritzky Gambit, but I certainly prefer the White Side of the Fischer Defense.

just because an opening is unsound at higher levels of play doesnt mean that it isnt alright for us amateurs to use. i would say either gambit is fine although its fair to say that the queens gambit isnt really a gambit since you get your pawn back ;)

What did I miss????? Now there are 2 full pages and Gavinator's had his account closed! I was only gone for like 6 hours!

Playing white on King's Gambit (accepted):
1. e4 e5
2. f4 exf4
3. Nf3
Like many of you, I'm an amateur who likes trying new stuff. I have recently started using the King's Gambit, with mixed results:
1. e4 e5 2. f4 gets things started.
KG Accepted is pretty interesting...
2. ...exf4
As white, 3. Nf3 keeps that pawn from continuing his march, but more importantly, it prevents 3. ...Qh4+
Further development priorities include the obvious 3. d3 whether the Gambit is accepted or not.
Punch those first few moves into Chessbase, or the opening explorer on this web site, and give it a try at your local chess club, or online.

Except for the fact you lose with the KG, you got about half of that right though.
But you both have an opinion about everything, despite the obvious fact that you don't know shit.
