Whats the current consensus on this variation of the Kalashnikov?

I say that White's best chances to play for a win is to start with 12.Bd3 because of the 12.Be3 fails to cover the 12...axb5 (13.Bd3 Qa5+ option) of course 13.Bxd4 exd4 is not better for White's either. After 12.Bd3 axb5 13.0-0 Black's position is slightly cramped but never the less playable.
