You cannot compare two totally different openings, they are the opposite of each other, approximately.

Yeah the King's Gambit is not played in Vote Chess here at all. Where you can find several Queen's Gambit games. Plus have to see more different defense also. If they take the c4 pawn it can be some serious  problems added in white can get the pawn back.

Playing it requires better timing in the moves against these various varations. Even the GM argue about the placement of certain pieces in the Queen Gambit and it changes like every 10 years.

ya queens played a lot

Kings gambit has lost most of its popularity in the last century. Several XIX century great players successfully used it as their major option as white, but through the XX Century these kind of players became rare.

The overhelming majority of Masters and skilled amateurs agree that 2.c4 is the best move after 1.d4 d5. However, the number of those who would say 2.f4 is the best option after 1.e4 e5 is way smaller. Look at databases and you will see the King's Gambit is no match to 2.Nf3 in terms of popularity.

Modern theory favours the QG, while the KG seems to have no much place on top games.

If you are not a professional, however, you shouldn't care much for this, specially if your opponents have no book knowledge after move 4 of any opening.

Better !

Maybe the King's gambit and the Catalan would be more comparable. In some lines, White really does sacrifice a pawn in the Catalan.

How did you get that TT rating? Those moves deserve exclams!

When you get a correct answer on TT, you get points. When you answer enough problems, your rating rises.
