I would castle queenside for white, if you are playing the classical variation. I'm not an expert, but because the white h pawn is so far across the board, it might give black a chance to trap you in the kingside corner.

I think Moonnie has hit the nail on the head. The key to black castling is to castle on the same side as white in the Classical. White usually castles on the queenside due to the hanging pawn on h5. A search of a database has revealed that black wins are overwhelmingly from games with castling also on the queenside. This is most likely due to white not having a target on the kingside with a g4 attack. But black needs to be careful as white has a well known attack even with same queenside castling, where he places his king on a2 and pawn storms with a3, b4, c4 and rooks behind them on b1 and c1. There is a youtube on this kind of attack. I don't know the answer to this attack. Does anyone know?

Great game last week between Kamsky and Seirawan where Seirawan played the Spassky variation, castled on opposite sides and got murdered by a viscious attack down the g-file.
