White Or Black

Would you play as white or black in this opening?

Give me some inputs so that I know how to play in this situation.

I would play white

I’m a bias Sicilian player so I take black. I’m thinking we’re “all-in”.

I see the queenside expansion and rook sacrifice for counter play.

For me, white is more of a attacking style of chess which I may employ.

I was asking forum for help.

@GeorgeWyhv14 both sides have good chances here, black has achieved imbalance which is a main idea of the sicilian defense, but I believe white still has a good game.

I personally don't play main line sicilians, but I'd be happy to take white here.

Black will throw everything at white's castled king, often will try sacrificing his rook for the c3 knight and also pushing the a and b pawns. If white can survive the attack, he may be up material and have good chances to win.

I would be happy to play either side against an opponent of my level. The position is nearly equal and with the chance of one of us blundering there are reasonable winning opportunities. As it happens I play both sides of the Sicilian so it doesnt matter to me.

White has control of the d file, immediate g4, h4 and a bishop sac ideas if black decides to castle. Tempo is important for both sides.

This position is deja vu.

I’m a c4 player so only offering a view from blacks perspective.

On second thought, bishop takes knight and the game is equalized for black and we go into a queen less middle game. 

Do you want to go the conservative route?

After move one by black I pick white

Move two by black should be played on move one😎

And move two should be delayed until absolutely forced if you want to play move one

White is better, but black should be able to defend.
