Sicilian is a big opening to learn

I played the dragon and the sveshnikov.

Probably the najdorf, the classical, and the dragon are the most popular...but I am basing this assumption on my own experience only, and I dont own chessbase.

im learning the o'kelly variation right now

1. e5  c5

2. kf3  a6?!

its better than you might think. It can be very problematic  for black when white gets a knight on b5

Ryguy
I play it almost exclusively.. I really like it. I play the Alapin and Dragon variations.

I don't like it

I play it from both sides, play the Najdorf as black and i play a closed sicilian when playing white. Yes it is a lot of theory to keep up with, but if you are going to play e2- e4 then you are going to have to face it quite a bit.

I found the easiest to learn is the Kan variation; 1...c5, 2...e6, 3...a6.

I've taught it to a few of my students who have been quite successful in their games against other students

najdorf-inactive
I like to use the najdorf and sveshnikov variations.
