Why is Maroczy Bind less effective against the Taimanov compared to Kan?

Just curious. Why is Maroczy Bind less effective against the Taimanov compared to Kan? Stockfish doesn't even consider it against the Taimanov. But for the Kan it does.

Apparently the engine thinks Black can use the move Nc6 to pressure the N on d4 immediately and force a concession. And overall engines consider Nxc6 to be far more dangerous after a6 by Black, they rate the resulting weakness on b6 quite highly.

The gist of it is a6 is a slow move which leaves you without time to create the necessary early disruption against the bind as it's being setup. You have a small window and you can exploit it with precise play via the Taimanov.
