Hello Guys! I’m JohnCh1234 and I ‘d like to share whith you 2 great games that I’ve recently played on chess.com and both finished in less than 21 moves! The games are not perfect and could have some mistakes but it was blitz games so this is usual for blitz. The cause that I chose this two games is that I want to show you that the King’s Gambit is a Perfect, sharp oppening for (<1800) players. The cause that I say this is because for players over 1800-1900 it could be an easy black win but for all of us is a perfect, surprising oppening !

The main line of King’s Gambit is : 1.e4 e5 2. f4 exf4!!!

The main plans of the king’s Gambit is : 1.)White by, sacing a pawn is making a central black’s pawn (e) non-central.So,white with the promotion d4 Is going for the centre.2.)With the oppening of F file after 0-0 white is going to have the control of f file and with the move Bc4 ,white is haeding for black’s castle, especially the f7 square!!!

As,you can understand, the King’s Gambit is a great surprise for your opponent after 1e4 e5 that offers white an sharp attack to the black’s monarch!!!!

Let’s see two of my recent games J :

This move is full of blunders but, you have to look on how to use your f file and how sharp could white’s attack be!

Those were enjoyable games to read, thanks for sharing :)

I just have one thing to note about your 1st game though: rather than 12. Ne4, 12. Bb5 would have been better. It would've inflicted a double check on the black king (from your light bishop and your queen), forcing 12... Kd8/Kf8. You could have then followed up with 13. Qe8#

Also, I was just examining your second game and this is what I would've played:

18. Nh6+ gxh6

19. Qg4+ Kh8

20. Rxf8+ Rxf8

21. Rxf8#

Oops never mind that second analysis - just realised that 19... Kh8 isn't forced. My bad ^_^

In game one, after 16. Nxf7, Black could have forced perpetual check with 16... Qh3+ 17. Kg1 Qg4+ etc.  Black's castling on move 17 missed the draw.

You are right because even,if 19...Kf8 20.Nd4+! and then If 20..Ke8 21.Qe6+ Kd8 22.Rxf8 , If 20....Ke7 21.Qe6+ again and then the same thing! :)

This is true, Fritz shows the game as 0.00!!

I think 6. Ng5 would be almost winner in the second game
