Your favorite openings?

BatGirl: What do you do if you play 1.d4 and you get 1. ..c5! Just trying to torture you!

With 1.e4 as White Kings Gambit, Scotch Game, Bishops Opening,Ruy Lopez, English Opening Reti Opening I also like to play Birds opening on occasion and the Alapins opening 1.e4 e5 2.Ne2

I play this opening occasionally against Players I know rely too heavily on their Chess Databases and Defirmians MCO the system I use consists of White playing f3 & d3 (not any specific order) within the first five-six moves of the game.

As Black against 1.e4 I like playing the Petroff Defence, Sicilian Nadjorf

1.d4 I play Queens Gambit (as black against it orthodox variation and cambridge springs) London System, Trompowsky Attack.

As white: Queens Gambit and Reti

As black: Caro Kann, and Owen defence (1.e4, b6)

Kings gambit (1. e4 e5 2. f4), scotch game (1. e4 e5 2. nf3 nf6 3. d4), blackmar diemar (1. d4 d5 2. e4), and Bird's opening (1. f4) for white

Black, ive never played against the queens gambit

i like the sveshnikov/kalashnikov sicilian , scandinavian, against 1. e4

if i respond 1. ...e5, and the ruy lopez comes up, i i play the Schliemann/Jaenisch (3. ...f5) and the Berlin (3. ...nf6)

For White King's Pawn . For Black Sicillian Defence 

Scandinavian Defense (or sometimes Sicilian) for black. Queen's Gambit or Reti Opening for white ;-)

as black I enjoy sharp sicillian lines and against d4 the dutch and the kings indian
as white i play e4 not because i like it more but simply becasue im more experienced however i think i thrive more in closed positions

Then play closed positions after 1.e4, like I do

With white I play English opening 

With Black I play Alekhine 

I go to sleep playing chess but have nightmares about playing checkers. I will need your help to figure out my problem

thats an opening called the old benoni its accually not half bad

I quite like the Italian Game. it seems to work for me and I wish GM's would play it more often

siscilian defence is the easiest though
