I think FIDE should have an official tournament for highshool teams. I wished that Canadian schools can enter U.S highschool championships.

I'm pretty sure you can enter a USCF event. If you give them money, they'll let you do anything.

I think the best way to help my highschool chess team is by getting advice anyone willing to help

You got plenty of advices from the first 2 pages or so.

Most of the topic has been advice. Your best bet is to find a local company or companies that might be willing to sponsor the club.

In all honesty I don't know a single person who would want to sponsor a chess event at high school. I hate to say this, but you'll probably have to offer up the money. You might find some teachers who used to play  chess who would be willing, but besides that I don't know. Sorry kn78.

I think we need to support your highschool chess team, I saw your blitz games and it appears that you can be a grandmaster in 2 years

Try to get local companies such as bars that are willing to sponsor you guys. I do not know about the team but you seem that you have potential of becoming a relly good chess player
