i think it boils down to jealousy. people ban highly intelligent people from their forums so they don't continue to upstage them and steal their glory. it's a form of predjudice and it needs to stop!

That might explain why I haven't seen any highly intelliegent people in these forums since about the third day that this site came online.

If sarcasm were to get you a ban from the site, I'd have been gone years ago...

well, now that you mention it. no, i wouldn't. moderate what? it's the internet! nothing can happen here! it's the breeding ground of nothingness. it is the abyss of failed ambition. look at all of us losers, accomplishing nothing but jabbering at one another till it's time for bed. really pathetic when you think about it.

A creator of a website or a group, creates his world and imposes his norms. If you get rejected, just walk. You should not suffer the norms of somebody that you do not know or have elected to represent you. Perhaps the names of these groups should be more explicit like : tyrans castle, abuse village, my law rules, in it for sex,..

Anyone know how to remove a ban from live chess?

from a moderator in a chat room... i said "b**gers" and then compared one current political leader to a former historical leader that is generally frowned upon, without any use of profanity, and voila, i was told i was banned and then couldn't play live chess anymore

 Personally, I liked the good old days when neither satire or sarcasm was necessary. You just told called the fool  f**king stupid and got smacked down or not. Not being the thin-skinned political correctness police censors of today, first guy to hit the floor bought the next round and the winner racked the pool table. What problem? That tooth popped right back in! No harm no foul.

 The best thing about getting old is getting away with being a curmudgeon!
