When a player goes on vacation, their vacation time is automatically docked 24 hours. If they come off vacation before that 24 hours has elapsed, the difference in time is added to the games where they were on vacation.

Hey, so can anyone explain this. For one of my online chess correspondence games, my opponent's time went all the way down to 6-7 hours. I then saw that he went on vacation. He is know back from vacation with 17 hours left on this clock without making a move. How does he have more time than before. We are both in the United States, but we are in different time zones.
