Question regarding federation fees

I’d like to know how the US Chess Federation as well as various national chess federations fund themselves besides charging membership fees to individuals.

Looking thru US Chess website, I found that they also charge clubs an “affiliate” fee. I’d also like to know, and could not find in their bylaws or elsewhere in the site:

1) does the federation also charge clubs a fee for processing rated matches/tournaments, and if so how is that fee calculated?
2) does the federation charge a fee based on the tournament’s total prize money?
