Ay when did you start learning how to play chess

I first learned the basic rules during middleschool, but picked up chess seriously in June last year. I was having a rough time descending from 800s to 300s, but then slowly improving my game and now I'm early 1000s

I learned when I was in the fifth grade and became our school representative to join tournaments like fight other players in other schools.

I was playing a two player mobile game, and in this game there was chess, I got interested and started to learn the rules, openings, tactical themes, and a few more things.

When I was in second grade, I learned how to play chess. I haven't gotten much better in 10 years

I got seriously into chess a little more then 6 months ago, guess I learned how the pieces moved when I was 9 or 10. Never really played more then maybe 3 or so games until I got into it.

I learned in the 3rd grade. Although the game is relatively easy, I never really caught interest to it. Now I just play it when I'm bored. I usually resign from the game because I get busy with homework, so I've only ever been able to play a single game to the end- and I won.
