Most experenced players seem to know this and do not normaly take on strangers with low repPoints

I think you should play stronger people, try as hard as you can, then analyze the game yourself, win or lose. Also play some people at your level, or below, and try to crush them. Analyze the wins and make sure you know where the opponent went wrong. I mean analyze the games yourself, not with a computer!

I think beginners should play with a computer first.
It's relatively shallow thinking and moves that are otherwise predictable by a better player would be the first step to conquer.
Then, they can move on to the more unpredictableness of real people.
I use this technique for teaching my brother (who's six now).
