IMO

1 : Best players are strong bots because never tired, very strong in tactics and calculation, know with an infallible memory an opening encyclopedia and have a database of endgames.

2 : Only humans vs humans :

a : Magnus Carlsen

b : Fabiano Caruana, Hikaru Nakamura, Levon Aronian make a strong impression with a constant

c : Ian Nepomniachtchi, Ding Liren even if they have made the old version of the world championship for Nepomniachi in rapid it doesn't seem to be too much that and Ding Liren it's difficult to form an opinion because there's probably "the jet lag with China" which means it can be with disadvantage in rapid competitions organized on the net then I haven't seen many Ding Liren games and the same for Ian.

d : Wesly So, Maxime Vachier-Lagrave, Matthias Blübaum, Jan-Krzysztof Duda maybe not the best but they are formidable opponents.

c : Gujrathi Vidit, Praggnanandhaa, Arjun Gukesh, Alireza Firouzja (notably very strong in blitz) and probably Nodirbek Abdusattorov (a strong impression due to the Aimchess Rapid competition), Vincent Keymer (due to the 2023 World Championship with his games against Carlsen) I don't know about the long term but in the short term they're full of talent and they can be scary.

Magnus Carlsen is the current invading chess player but if we compare this into chess history then we can’t leave Garry Kasparov and Robert James Fischer ( Bobby Fischer) behind in this conversation.

I'm doing a review to what I said :

1 : Magnus Carlsen this is the easiest opinion (because it's not even really an opinion, it's just factual for the moment) but after it's more adventurous.

2 : Nodirbek Abdusattorov notably in Gukesh v Pragg: Pre-Candidates Faceoff & Nodirbek v Vidit On Penultimate Day | Tata Steel 2024 Rd 12 (youtube.com) Nordirbek finds himself in a nightmarish game against Vidit and it's impressive the combativeness and strength of Nordirbek then in CCT 2023 Aimchess rapid (Magnus is Back! Knockout Stage Division I | Aimchess Rapid Day 1 (youtube.com)), in short he is very dangerous (Wesley So and Levan Aronian could certify it, they took huge beating).

So I think potentially he is or will be number 2.

3 : Fabiano Caruana actually I think he should be the second strongest (because he's also consistent and the one I think has the best chance of beating Magnus Carlsen) but he has a kind of "shyness" that makes me think he won't make it for psychological reasons and he's now 31 years old (over time he will lose motivation and energy, I think)

4 : Dommaraju Gukesh the day "he'll stop it's clowning around" (like being in a winning position against Rameshbabu Praggnanandhaa then repeat the same position three times to get his 40 moves), he'll be number 1 imo

5 : Ian Nepomniachtchi "untiring" then is simply strong but "he has a programmed way of making his openings" that tells me he can't really do it.

6 : Hikaru Nakamura... euh Bongcloud Attack, Hippopotamus Defence... a "troll" like that who reaches the top level must be pretty damn strong.
