Woodshover's best one was simply called "Computer". He had to go to work, so he was nice enough to find the time to start a thread:

"How was the play the computer thing on here improved? I don't have time to check it out myself right now, since I have to go soon."

He proceeded to use the next 15 minutes to argue that he really was in a rush.

Anybody know how to post a status in the new format?

But I'm not playing a game right now. What if I wanted to just put "Rooting for Kramnik" as a status?

There used to be a way to have an actual status, settable from www.chess.com/home, but it is not there anymore, or I can't find it.

Statuses are gone now.

Ozzie, unfortunately think the site are trying to do away with status altogether soon & believe the above is all we now have ?

You could always use the "About Me" section of your profile for this.

Or profile-picture. Write there instead.

I think the easiest way is to put your status into your "occupation" ... this will show up on your profile page if I'm not mistaken.

Occupation: Rooting for Kramnik.

I'm guessing that the idea of a separate status went away because they're going in the direction of writing on your wall showing up in your friends' feeds.
