lol... trysts, I am afraid my vitamin A days are long past.... But other methods of appreciation are available which do not require you to use drugs (which btw he was adamantly opposed to, just so you know). If you have the ability to read music, understand the degree of difficulty to perform it, or have a background in other forms of music such as jazz, classical, opera, etc. Perhaps by researching the background of the performing musicians you can either like the music that they do individually or seek why they wanted to play this.
If you simply cannot appreciate music in general, then maybe you have a fascination for the achievements of successful people who have mastered their craft and what forms of education or experience that enabled them to attain that level and what methods that they use to continue their growth.
Maybe you have an interest in civil rights, separation of church & state, freedom of speech, the importance of voter registration to a successful democracy, parental responsibility, and so on..... Why a "musician" like Frank Zappa would be invited to appear before a US senate subcommittee to advise on proposed legislation, appear on programs like "face the nation", "crossfire", "financial news network", etc..... Why he would be featured in documentaries about democracy in America.... How and why an American citizen could serve as a cultural, tourism and trade advisor to the west for Czechoslovakia under Vaclav Havel....
Maybe you enjoy satire of social norms and attitudes.... what they were commenting on at the time it was written and how the issues have changed or not changed....
