Bu it does beg the question; who will be chosen as the new [official] winner?

lol...  trysts, I am afraid my vitamin A days are long past....  But other methods of appreciation are available which do not require you to use drugs (which btw he was adamantly opposed to, just so you know).  If you have the ability to read music, understand the degree of difficulty to perform it, or have a background in other forms of music such as jazz, classical, opera, etc.  Perhaps by researching the background of the performing musicians you can either like the music that they do individually or seek why they wanted to play this.

If you simply cannot appreciate music in general, then maybe you have a fascination for the achievements of successful people who have mastered their craft and what forms of education or experience that enabled them to attain that level and what methods that they use to continue their growth.

Maybe you have an interest in civil rights, separation of church & state, freedom of speech, the importance of voter registration to a successful democracy, parental responsibility, and so on.....  Why a "musician" like Frank Zappa would be invited to appear before a US senate subcommittee to advise on proposed legislation, appear on programs like "face the nation", "crossfire", "financial news network", etc.....  Why he would be featured in documentaries about democracy in America....  How and why an American citizen could serve as a cultural, tourism and trade advisor to the west for Czechoslovakia under Vaclav Havel....

Maybe you enjoy satire of social norms and attitudes.... what they were commenting on at the time it was written and how the issues have changed or not changed....

I don't know my friend.....  what are your interests beyond this forum trysts?

You are a real piece of work, woofLaughing Scary halloween guitar solos are not interesting to me. People opposed to drugs are uninteresting. I don't need pointers in listening to and evaluating music. I'm not nine years old, I'm not looking for some guitar hero. What the hell would I care if Frank Zappa is on idiotic T.V. "news" programs like "Face the Propaganda"?

Care about "voter registration"? Are you kidding me? For "a successful democracy"? Where the hell do you live? I live in the U.S. There has never been a democracy here. Ever.

"How and why an American citizen could serve as a cultural, tourism and trade advisor to the west for Czechoslovakia under Vaclav Havel...." What?!Laughing

"what are your interests beyond this forum trysts?" Drinking...Foot in mouth

I dunno, I get the feeling a Zappa fan wouldn't spring for anything past a can of PBR.  He's probably wearing a plaid shirt right now.

Laughing Aren't you a Zappa fan, theoreticalboy? Or am I mistaken?

Nah, never really listened, beyond the short segment featured on Happy Together (which was admittedly pretty swank).  Like you I'm suspicious of classic guitar work, and tend to favour dissonance.  Or kazoos.

sorry trysts, was unaware of your sex....  despite theorecticalboy's foolish comment regarding something he is clearly uneducated about...... I would have no problem buying you a $12 glass of wine out at a restaurant or bar.  While I try to keep my wine purchase of bottles for home under $15 that is more because I enjoy the challenge of finding quality at a good price, not because I cannot afford it.  My wine taste tends to lean toward good reds, but I do enjoy a nice dry chardonnay with oak or buttery overtones.  A nice white though that I had recently that was over $25 a bottle is one called Conundrum.  Not a chardonnay.  Normally would not have tried it, but a good friend who bought a couple cases for his wine cellar had raved about it.  If you can find it, buy it, it's outstanding!  I think it was an '08 vintage.

I seldom drink beer either other than an occasional microbrew or a Guinness.  I am a scotch drinker for the most part.

Having spent many years in the fashion industry, I would happily match my wardrobe to t-boy's regardless of the person judging.....  I do have 1 plaid shirt though.  It is an old Armani black & white plaid from quite a few years ago that I occasionally pull out to wear with jeans.....  Anyway, enjoy your wine.  If the Blind Pig bar is still in Ann Arbor and they still have live blues bands we could hang out there, although I suspect their wine list will be subpar and would suggest staying with a martini or scotch

Hey, I just call 'em like I see 'em! Tongue out

In interests of full disclosure, I myself own one plaid-esque shirt, and can appreciate anybody who suggests 'sticking to scotch.'

yeah... spelling is quite difficult in these posts....  You got to spend all that time trying to get your little arrow to touch the little abc box.....  shit!  by the time your drunken eyes can focus enough to see it.... hell, several hours may just pass you by!  ....  it must be like a virtual threading of the needle for mental midgets.....  uh-h-h.. did I spell midget right?

Trysts, a virtually quick question of which I hope you take no offense from me asking.....  If I get you virtually tipsy, not virtually drunk now, but just where you are virtually giggly.  You know, that virtually ideal slightly inebriated state where you are virtually hanging on my every virtual word as I charm you with my virtual wit so I may pursue my single minded virtual goal of getting you into a virtual bed to perform some virtual sexual gymnastics.  Positions which I have virtually learned, mastered and perfected from my tattered, dogeared and torn pre-virtual copy of Kama Sutra.  Where upon we can then engage in a virtual display of erotic virtually intertwined activity until we lay back virtually exhausted in a state of virtual ecstasy....  Umm... That would not make me a virtually shallow person.... would it?
