Why is Schlechter always forgotten in these discussions ? He tied a match with Lasker and Lasker had to win the last game of the match in order to tie it and keep his title.
Paul Keres and Viktor Korchnoi are 2 strongest GM that never held world title.
The more I read about them, more I feel sorry about them for never had that one last effort, maybe luck, but dont like calling luck in this case, to become one of the few, one of the legends.
They are without doubt extra class players but do anyone else feel that they should have been champions?
