How to block
This feature is should be much easier to find and use. I have frequently dealt with players who are abusive or who waste my time and would like to be able to block them by going to their page and choosing "Block Member" from the same list of options that includes "Add Friend". As it is, I have to search "how to block member" every time.

How can I block another user?
You can do this from your 'Privacy Settings'. To get to 'Privacy Settings,' move your cursor over 'Home,' then select 'Account,' then choose 'Manage your Privacy Settings' This will lead you to this page: ( http://www.chess.com/home/privacy.html ) and you will see a section at the bottom of the page where you can enter a username to block.
Once blocked, a member cannot do any of the following:
- post notes to your account
- send you messages
- accept your game seeks
- be auto-matched with you in open seeks
- join tournaments that you are running
- post in content that you created
Repeating what I wrote earlier: "going to their page and choosing "Block Member" from the same list of options that includes 'Add Friend'".

I think what he means is you should be able to go to the person's page you want to block and there should be a ''block user'' option right there.

Unfortunately, I have found out that once you block a member, all they have to do is open another account and another account and another account...

After going through all the links, it's on your page. Then you have to type in their exact username. It would be a whole lot easier if ''block user'' appeared on everyone's profile page, along with ''send message'' or ''send game request.''
In order to block you need to have some pillows and blankets that you no longer uses than you can patch the hole effectively.
