Well, whatever it takes.

(Editor’s note: I am 2100 on a tactics app on my phone. I rarely use TT here since I let my premium membership lapse.)

Also, I didn’t win the argument 😞

The next time I see him in St. Louis, I will say, "No, young man. You don't know who I am, and I'm going to set the record straight." @zealandzen">-@zealandzen (wink)

I could have Naka confused with someone else, though.

You a St Louis person Pawn355?
Colin20G

How long it would take him to beat that 2100? 20 minutes? lol

ChrisWainscott
If that.

That picture of Naka looking at the can of Red Bull would make a good meme.

When I cross the Mississippi, I am.

#11 Meme is very good!

ChrisWainscott
Ah. I’m there at least twice a year.

Anyone else get the impression that Grandmaster Nakamura is an egotistical person irl? Fabiano Caruana comes across as much more humble (but also as kind of ugly, depending on how Grandmaster Caruana does his hair).

In order to be the best at chess, or any other sport, you have to believe in yourself completely. Sure, there are "nice guys" who play chess. Vishy Anand comes quickly to mind. But every elite player is "Egotistical".

ChrisWainscott
Hikaru’s a nice guy. He’s mellowed with age.

ChrisWainscott
But yeah, every top 10 player I’ve met has a massive ego. Though some, like Vishy, are quite pleasant.
