Not sure I understand your question, but basically nothing happens to them except you no longer interact on the site.

Once blocked, a member cannot do any of the following:

  • post notes to your account
  • send you messages
  • accept your game seeks
  • be auto-matched with you in open seeks
  • join tournaments that you are running
  • post in content that you created

@soren22 They cease to exist. Not just in chess, they're removed from the human race. So it's better to avoid this course of action. It's kind of like if a tree falls in the wood and nobody is there to hear it. That tree will also be removed from chess.com, the only exception being in the Republic of Ireland.

Nothing else needs to happen.  They are blocked from contacting you.  Although, depending on your setting, they can still be able to send you a trophy and be rude that way.

Yeah I agree, that is certainly arguable, and indeed probable. Although the only factor that diminishes that theory is the requirement to give back their chess.com socks.

It is okay if you block them all. You won't even miss them.

I just checked and I have 21 members blocked. I only remember two of them and I see them around. The rest, I can't remember who they are.

what if they both play in the same tournament and HAVE TO be paired to play against each other?

Surely this does happen, otherwise people would simply block higher rated players in a tournament games to avoid playing against them..

I think it's better not to block peeps. What if its bad luck ?

SpiderTriangle

Every loss = i block them. Blocked literally thousands of players. I never have to revisit past fares that way

They will not be able to message you privately.

It's okay. No one's English is perfect.
