I saw him once in Minnesota. He was playing all comers in blitz. Nice guy. However, his eyes are very intense, and sometimes in photos he looks like he's plotting something more than just checkmate. If I were casting a part for the devil in a low budget film I might consider Loek van Wely if he wasn't too busy.
