The 50 move rule saved my opponent….

In this 10 minute game (I was black) I wanted to flag my opponent in an opposite colored bishop endgame, but the 50 move rule drew him the game. How lucky! He had 3.3 seconds left!

Nice match mate!

It's bishops of opposite color; it's a dead draw. I wouldn't say your opponent was lucky.

My opponent was lucky. If he runs of time, I win. But there is a 50 move rule, that saved him.

I can’t remember the last time I met the 50-move rule when playing an actual chess game, if ever. It’s very rare!

at the rate your clocks were going down you were probably gonna be the one who flagged if there wasn’t a 50 move rule

#6 maybe, I had confirm move on. Maybe I should have toggled it off….

@fet One could say you would have been lucky to flag your opponent in a position where no win was remotely likely. Or, just accept the rules of the game and not call either result "luck"
