Oh really? I believe Uhlmann smashed you at Buenos Aires in 1960 with an attack on the kingside including a battery down the h-file and a killer 30...e3!! pawn push! Weakened kingside my butt! Fischer was a nut job and only got attention because he was American and Americans were clearly weaker than Russians in the 20th century!
It is too difficult to compare players from different time frames. If you go based on quarters of centuries:
1st Q of the 20th - Lasker
2nd Q of the 20th - Alekhine
3rd Q of the 20th - Arguable between Petrosian, Spassky, and Botvinnik
4th Q of the 20th - Kasparov
1st Q of the 21st - Carlsen
