Call Giri weak with ,weak-with '' '' or without '' '' is ridicilous.
Magnus Carlsen has trouble against weak players

I just threw a die a hundred times, and believe it or not, it fell on "6" almost 20 times. Do you have an explanation ?
Relevance to the topic : is there evidence that Carlsen has more trouble against (relatively to him) weak players than against strong ones, and this, for a significant number of players ?

''and took so long to win against Hammer today'' Do you think that Hammer is some patzer, who just learned how to move pieces and got wild card for tournament just because his daddy is rich? Maybe in Croatia but not in Norway.Do you know how many hours, how enormous is that work to become 2600+ and how strong is that player? I dont know too.

Ladies and gentlemen of chess.com, I'm just a caveman. I fell on some ice and later got thawed out by some of your scientists. Your world frightens and confuses me! Sometimes the honking horns of your traffic make me want to get out of my BMW.. and run off into the hills, or wherever.. Sometimes when I get a message in my e-mail, I wonder: "Did little demons get inside and type it?" I don't know! My primitive mind can't grasp these concepts. But there is one thing I do know - when playing a position in which you have a knight and a bishop versus a lone king, checkmate can be forced only with the defending king in a corner controlled by the bishop or on a square on the edge next to such a corner. Thank you.

Alright veritas, Ill try not to be offensive to you. I know you're only curious, an innocent enough question. You may not be able to understand the games enough at a level sufficient to really pick up on what's happening strategy wise. I might take 85 moves vs a 1200 player to win and then win one vs an 1900 in 22 moves. Does that mean anything? No, of course not. There may be a winning advantage POSITIONALLY by move 10 in a game that requires a different PLAN than a wild crazy attack. You play what the position needs, it may take a while. I certainly can't understand a lot of their long term strategic planning so how can you, with all respect, tell when I can surely beat you blindfolded? No offense, just being logical

The biggest dissapointment of my day was finding out that "weak players" when discussing Magnus Carlsen is still people who are higher rated than I can ever hope to be.

the last time carlsen had a weak performance that i recall was the 2010 chess olympiad in siberia, in which amusingly carlsen seemed to lose sense by the time he played adams employing the norwegian defense/gambit [the north sea defense] poorly, losing his way strangely in the middlegame. carlsen did face some problems at the board in a blitz tournament in norway also at the end of 2012 but at quick controls more random results are normal and he tied first anyway.
his 10.5/13 at wijk en zee probably propelled carlsen to his highest rating. i only see carlsen's grinding style to be a problem if carlsen becomes excessively fatigued. so long as carlsen stays away from 2 games a day swisses in the us i don't see that as a problem.

LOL. If only Magnus would host SNL...
Somehow I get the feeling that while his colleagues can easily win over "weak" players (rating-wise) e.g Hammer and Giri, Carlsen seems to have some trouble defeating them, seen from how he lost to giri in 2011 and took so long to win against Hammer today, and was even in trouble at one point in the game. This is weird to me because he is so dominant against the 2700s and is the player with the most wins against the 2800s (correct me if I'm wrong).
