There is quite a lot of literature written about the WTC attacks, with corroborating video which supports the mystery involved. It is best to clean one's mind of prejudice and focus on who could have possibly perpetuated such a horrific crime. Over 3000 people were killed. The Islamabad bombing was 54 people killed. In the London bombings, 56 people were killed. In the Oklahoma City bombing, 168 people were killed.
It is an event worth reviewing for yourself, as a caring human being in this world. It certainly changed America.
There are a lot of plausible, and unprovable, theories out there. I don't have access to enough information to verify (or disprove) a lot of it. I was just interested in hearing a few key points. I'm not motivated enough to get into it myself because I see it as a big undertaking.
It changed America because America and Bush is/are idiots. It's not that I don't care about 3,000 lives lost, but I didn't know any of the victims myself. 3,000 is small historically in terms of lives lost.

Well, now I only discuss 9/11 with friends who actually do care. "Conspiracy", is far from a hilarious word to me. Conspiracies get people executed all-the-time in the real world. And you do have access to investigating this crime if you have a computer.

Regarding 9-11.....
It has been a decade, but, my distrust of W and Cheney had me looking into many of the theories out there.
There simply was no proof. The evidence points directly at Al Qaida. Many of the theories start with the PDF titled "Bin Laden determined to strike in U.S." only a few months before it actually happened. This only proves the incompetence of our "leaders" at the time.
The attack was successful due to the administration's ignorance, and the fact that the FBI, CIA, and NSA did not share information they had gathered, which, when viewed as a whole, would have most certainly prompted action.
Theories also gained steam after 9-11 because of the Patriot Act, and how it became law. Wiretapping U.S. citizens. And, the "shift" to a connection to Iraq, sold to the publc with lies and deceit. The Iraq war, technically illegal, enriched many of the administration's cronies (most notably Halliburton and Blackwater).
I will admit that many of the theories will pique one's curiosity. However, the more one looks into them, they seem to be based on theory, not fact.
Trysts, your comment about a "suck-ass government" made me laugh. I have mentioned to friends and family that America seems to be on the same path as the Roman Empire. Last year, a Newsweek article studied happiness among citizens around the world. The happiest people were from the Scandinavian countries. Wouldn't that make one think? I mean, it's not because of the weather!
I know there are financial troubles for everyone, but I thought I'd heard in general the Scandinavian countries citizens made a lot of money. Maybe I don't remember correctly though.
