Not Being Familiar with the Biggest Names in Chess. Is That Unusual?

Am I unusual in the sense that I'm just not really interested in the personalities behind the game, like who is number one in the world and so on? I just don't care. Until I joined this site, I'd never heard of people like Hikaru and Magnus, and I've been playing the game for years now.
I like the game, I like playing, it's the only game I really enjoy, but I have no idea who made what winning move on some date back in 1932 against whomever; that just doesn't interest me, although I have started to watch videos on 'YouTube' that try to give helpful, practical advice.
