I don't resign

AChessPlayer2016

No need to, I was in a match where it looked hopeless to me, but then I made it turn into a stalemate.

I think that's because you are playing with people with 3 digit ratings

You're a 1600 player..  You're not Magnus.  You can make a mistake even if it's a losing position for the other person.  Pretty arrogant of you to think they should resign.

DrClear

This is great

I understand that you don't like people that don't resign when they have lost allready. But your oppenent can allways try something else. Winning on time or getting draw on other ways is a good alternitive when you are lost. But when you want your oppenent to surrender is the same as surrender against Magnus Carlsen before the first move is played. You know you can't win. But you play for the experience and for the fun. You wouldn't play chess if you didn't liked it.
Losing in won possitions is not funny but an oppenent surrendering before the first move isn't funny to.
And when your oppenent wins after a lost position you have a good game. Good for analysis. And you will learn of that. Later when you are very good you will thank that people don't surrender because you learned of it.

(Sorry for the mistakes. I am not very good at English)

...........efficient play with mating material is best .....by going OTT with multitudinous pawns graduating to  Queens, Knights Bishops and/or Rooks risks inadvertently stalemating your tardy opponent with careless inappropriate confidence......then you'd be pissed !!!

I'm glad you have the extra 20 min to waste when he see's that you are going to promote every damn pawn and lets his clock run out instead of resigning.  Have it your way. lol
