"Peter is in his element, playing against time" - Grischuk

I was behind a bit and just got through watching the last round of the Candidates Tournament, and in the live broadcast when Gelfand and Grischuk are at the commentary table with Laurence analysing the Carlsen Svidler game Grischuk makes the comment in the title which makes Boris laugh and say something to the tune of "You're not very friendly to your..."

I'm very new to chess so I'm not sure what this comment by AG means (I suppose he means Svidler was just playing quickly rather than looking for the best moves because Magnus was in time trouble, which is cheap), but Gelfand's reaction makes it clear that it's derrisive.

My question is are these two, Svidler and Grischuk on bad terms? Grischuk tho strikes me as someone who's not on good terms with anyone.

man the candidates were like weeks ago, why ask now and not when memory is fresh??

And yes they are big rivals in russian championship that Svidler has won more often, maybe thats the reason, i dont know to be honest.

It's not what I would call "cheap"... managing your clock is as important in a tournament game as managing your Pawns.

Playing quickly while your opponent is in time trouble might be unwise, though. What use is your advantage on the clock if both players are rattling off their moves without much reflection?

To your What?

He trailed off at that point, didn't say anything further.

The tone in which Grischuk said it was also quite antagonistic, as if he really doesn't like Svidler.
