Searching for Alexander Shashin

Hello everybody!

After reading the book "Best Play: A New Method For Discovering The Strongest Move" (2013) and knowing that the ShashChess engine was inspired by the method of the author of this work, the Russian chess coach Alexander Shashin, I would like to get in touch with him to compare some notes and thank him for his pioneering research associating mathematics and physics with chess.

Therefore, I would like to ask for the help of all members here to find the email address of this author (who is currently almost 80 years old) or tell me the best way to contact him online or by mail. I tried to locate GM Alexander Morozevich, who prefaced Shashin's work, and ask him about his mentor's whereabouts, but I was also unsuccessful. I suspect that Mr. Shashin still resides in his hometown of Saint Petersburg. If anyone here knows how to help me find Mr. Shashin, or know someone who can facilitate such contact, I would be immensely grateful!

For those who don't know about the "universal method" of analyzing positions and calculating the best move created by him, I recommend purchasing the book above and analyzing this match between Shashin and GM Korchnoi, to get an idea of the strength of this master who influenced an entire generation of young Russian chess players.
