If you have a won game then the onus is on you to win, not on the other player to resign.
Stupid idiots who don't know when to resign?
For every "stupid idiot" here that doesn't resign there's probably one idiot that doesn't know how to mate with just king and rook or understand that in a king and pawn versus king ending you MUST gain opposition before you attempt to promote etc. Endgame is probably the least studied element of chess at the amateur level because people think, oh well I've got a pawn left and opponent has nothing i win no matter what! Wrong. I don't fault people for doing it. It allows me to keep my endgame sharp. The hardest game to win is a game that's already won.

Time control is agreed upon. Best be ready for the duration. Chess.com forfeits time abusers in hopeless positions in standard games. You will lose games with a bad connection or a slow computer, in a winning position. Don't cry about it. If it's that important, upgrade.
http://www.chess.com/echess/gam?id=112758396e..here is a game of mine
which might interest you..with advanced pawns and a rook failed to win.
Here is the first game against the same player which I won perhaps the best game I played against a higher rated one..he was 1946 and i was 1750 when
the game started . http://www.chess.com/echess/game?id=112758398.

I was two bishops and three pawns ahead in an endgame-type of position and I kept thinking, "Why doesn't this guy resign?" Then my cat walked over the keyboard and I got disconnected, couldn't re-connect and lost the game and then I understood why my opponent didn't resign.

This is the last game in round 1 of a tournament. It can't change the result. Let them duke it out for another 20 moves if they want, but let's the rest of us get on with it.

It is impossible to resign in the app.
Not true. I've done it thousands of times.

There was a time when I was playing in an app and when I wanted to give up, I couldn't find that button. So I play from the browser.
Wait.. So, those rocks in the picture of Squidward are going uphill? Meh, don't be a squidward.
