The reason for Anand losing?

Is he having nightmares of playing Carlsen?

Honestly he is not playing as good as he should be. Perhaps Anand is really facing some psychological distress after facing Carlsen.

I'd like to see the 6 time WCC put up a good fight in the Zurich chess challenge. Hopefully he comes in 3rd or 4th.

He hasn't played particularly well for several years.  Occasionally we have seen glimpses of his brilliant best but these games are few and far between.  In my opinion he is on the verge of not being able to compete at the top level.

It's unfortunate the Carlsen didn't really mature until Anand was past his prime since that would have been an epic match!

Newsflash for you youngsters: Life starts heading for the toilet once you turn 25, at least mentally and physically. When you are young you can stay alert, focused, and highly productive all day long. When you get older, say 30-35, after a full day if work, you come home tired. You only have a limited number of highly productive hours, maybe 4-6 hours in the morning. Add in a spouse and children and your productive hours are lowered even more. The only advantage older people have is more experience. But it's clear Anand's experience is not enough to carry him against the best of the best. His top level chess may be all in the past.
