Time cheating

In live chess many peoples are cheating with time check.

my opponent's and my time doesn't decrease at all.

RoffleMyWafflez

It's lag.

Three leading legitimate reasons for this:

  1. Increments
  2. Lag correction (Also here)
  3. Pre-moves

It's not possible to cheat the clocks.

Actually, some of my opponents have enjoyed a two or three second increment during their final seconds of what were supposed to be games with no time increment.

It's not possible to cheat the clocks.

USB devices have come a long way :

Oh, that is very cool.

a) Why is this under 'chess players'

b) When your opponent gained time in the end of the game it was to make up for lag earlier or right then.

I just played a game against Great_Satan and he kept getting increments on a no increment...ok, if it's for lag, then how at the end of the game, when his clock was at zero and he was in check, did he not make a move and all a sudden MY clock was at zero and he won....even though I had made the last move to put him in check?  Others feel he cheats too.  It's weird that people would spend their lives wasting their own time and others to cheat at chess, but is there a ban hammer to help these fools get a more fitting hobby?

I've been assured that it is by administrators of another site. One of them even explained how to do it, although I have no practical experience implementing his recommendation.

Lag can be manipulated. It will provide only a few precious seconds over the course of a game, but in blitz that's often the difference in the result.

i was also have that problem, in the first the time look so normally, i've been defeated by opponent 2x and i played again , and when i got in a good position i'm waiting for him to move and the time is ticking , suddenly when he move my time is decrease so much.

This threads really should just be closed, and the OP's directed to the original thread regarding this issue.

Which is silly because the issue is moot anyways, and people are just upset for losing a game on the internet.  Oh no :(

The clock can't be cheated.  Go play somebody else, win, feel better, ????, PROFIT!
