Of course Kramnik is also known for his world class sense of humour. He frequently makes up jokes, laughs at them and awards himself rating points based on how amusing he has found them. His current jest rating is 3105, only exceeded by the very best of joke generating computer programs.

Unfortunately he is not so good at making up jokes when he has a short amount of time.

On Kramnik's autobiographical website , Kramnik describes himself as an "Expert in the Art of Living, Strategist and Chess Genius". When asked about the first of these, he explained that he had been successfully living for nearly 36 years now without failing even once.

It might be slightly funny if Kramnik was better at chess.

You need a name like Kasparov to replace those jokes.

Indeed.

Maybe that's the real joke...

No offense to Grischuk / fans', just for fun Laughing

A plus point for Go over chess: it is not drawish.

Another plus point, humans are still better than computers at Go.

A third plus point: Kramnik does not play Go.

It takes great talent to resign to Kramnik- usually he checkmates you too fast!Laughing

Dear Natalia,

I almost burst into laughter at a public internet shop here and then almost about to type Dear Nina forgetting your name at the instance. You really have a humorous sense madame.

Haha nice one Mephisto.   Why did Kramnik cheat against Topalov in 2006? He wanted to check Deep Fritz so that he shouldnt miss  mate in 1 again.

Avatar of Loomis

2pac, Kramnik vs. Topalov happened before Kramnik vs. Fritz.

Avatar of 2pacinchess

yes but didnt the toiletgate appear in 2006? Kramnik had played fritz before that. They have played before but there was no suspicion of cheating then

Avatar of Loomis

toiletgate and the mate in 1 against Fritz both happened in 2006, but toiletgate happened first. So your suggestion that Kramnik was consulting Fritz against Topalov to avoid mate in 1 again has the events out of order.

Kramnik can beat people so bad, in a time machine he beat Ruy Lopez,Philidor,Lucena,Steinitz,Lasker,Anderssen,Najdorf,Capablanca,Kasparov,

Shirov,Fischer,Karpov,Botvinnik,Smyslov, and Grischuk in one move in a blindfold simul.

Chessforfunn that was after not having slept the two previous nights as well.

When Rybka uses the bathroom it's actually consulting Kramnik.

Kramnik used a computer in the bathroom in his match aganist Topolov because he felt bad and didn't want the score to be 12-0

Lol ok didnt knew Loomis, I thought that the fritz game happened before.. thanks for explaining it to me..

Kramnik once won a boxing match with only a King and two Knights.

Kramnik once defeated the two Klitschko brothers, at the same time, boxing blindfold while was hosting a blindfold simul in which he won all the games.

Didn't Kramnik refuse to play Kasparov in a re-match, after he won his title?
