"Vladimir Kramnik is better than Magnus Carlsen"

The OP is smart -- it's impossible not to look at this thread after reading the title. You could write on any random topic you wanted; if you give it this title, people will look at it.

"I believe that Krammit said in an interview something along the lines of Carlsen isn't really better than him or Aronian."

It's literally laughable childishness. Let's see, he remembers all of the good games he played and reduces his bad games to just "random blunders?"

Yeah... missing ...Bxh2+ against Svidler a few months ago... when you do that, you pay a price, the price of not being able to make an even semi reasonable claim that you are not worse than Carlsen.

When I first saw this thread title I just knew it had to be by superking500. But I was wrong. Go figure.

Elubas

Haha, that is something he would say.

MrDamonSmith

I'm almost expecting superking (like he's done) to start a thread claiming that both Kramnik & Carlsen are really black we just don't know it.

"I think he is the only player who can compete with Carlsen right now"

Caruana is not a bad bet for that spot either. While Kramnik's last win against Carlsen came four years ago and he has lost a couple since then, Caruana has beaten him in 2012, 2013 and 2014, has an even score with him these years, and had winning or close to winning positions in a some other games as well.

MrDamonSmith

Yep, Fabiano Harry Potter Caruana is a force to be reckoned with. He just needs to qualify and win the candidates. Those are 2 huge obstacles to overcome. Giri is also a future possibility to consider along with the Chinese kid (just turned 15, 2630 fide) in the next 8-10 years.

Yeah, Kramnik and Caruana are two huge threats to Carlsen's dominance.
