What happened to the Kosintseva sisters?

Since the Muzychuk sisters are doing well in the World Cup, I was reminded of the other strong siblings of chess Tatiana and Nadhezda. I think they were one of the strongest chess playing sibling pair even amongst the open section. I recall their incident with the coach vaguely in 2015 or so, but forgot all about it later. But now they've all but disappeared. Where are they? Are they still coaching or playing? Was it not possible for them to switch federations to continue playing chess as many players do now? More importantly, how did we suddenly lose a pair of 2500+ GM women from chess because of a conflict in personalities? And why is there no one in the chess community curious about it?

Yes,Justbefair, BUt, this was 8 tears ago. They seemed to be still interested in playing Chess. And might change federations. But,again nothing has happened. I heard they went to school in Texas. Very strange that people that have given so much to Chess. And have been so successful. Just stop dead.

People lose interest or their life priorities can change all the time. In the case of the Kosintseva sisters, although they were very strong players and had remarkable achievements over their chess careers, I'm sure that marriage, family commitments, job experiences (unrelated to chess competitions), and general adult responsibilities may have contributed to them shifting their focus elsewhere.

One of the most mature things a person can do is to consider "return on investment" (ROI) - weigh how much of their limited resources they are willing to invest into a particular activity and what the expected or actual benefits will be. It is possible that perhaps the Kosintseva sisters decided that continuing to compete in the professional chess scene no longer made sense from a logistical or economic standpoint.
