I'm (mostly jokingly) suggesting you only want to challenge them because you think it will be an easy win.

Is it around 150?

He's been gone for years.

Oh my!!!! What a stupid account. 0 online chess rating? Weird

Avatar of Conflagration_Planet

He obviously did it on purpose.

Avatar of TheLastSupper

As in nearly any online game, the people with the lowest ratings are usually smurfs.

Avatar of Wilbur2357

How the heck doe he have 0 rating?

Avatar of TheGreatOogieBoogie

Someone who likes losing on purpose.  That level ironically requires a great deal of how to suck skill where people actively try losing.

Avatar of Psy_Junior

You can challenge metromaker224. He has lost every game of his.

Avatar of TheGrobe

He was hardly helping anyone. If I won against a zero rated player I might half expect to still lose rating points for wasting my time in the first place.

Avatar of Psy_Junior

It is probably a fake account. What happens when he loses in his rating of zero?

But you don't.  The minimum is 1.  So if you played 250 games and win them all, you gain 250 points.

He tended to resign on move four.

It was a joke, and I really don't think the one rating point he gifted anyone made a material difference in any way, shape or form, nor do I think he was actually trying to help anyone.  Labeling it cheating is a little silly IMO.

Avatar of Mainline_Novelty

fyi, you can actually not gain any rating points from winning a rated game if the rating difference is big enough.

Avatar of TheGrobe

That used to not be the case here, there was a period when you always won/lost at least one rating point.

That's how timmaylivinalie got to zero and ChessNetwork got to 4000.

Avatar of Sam97

lol... yes you can win and not go up... Play Computer impossible in live chess.
