I was fortunate enough to get a pair of games against CCIM Ronald Weyerstrass. I was destroyed in short order.

The best tactician I've ever played against is definitely sarthe (from this site). Maybe not 'stronger' than Weyerstrass but I'd say a better tactician. Although having a rating similar than mine he destroyed me in very short order.

There are a couple masters in my area, one rated over 2400. I've drawn with one, and had a winning position that I botched against the other.

The hardest opponent I ever played is my chess teacher. I'v only played 2 games with him, but he demolished me at both of them. The first one he forked my queen with a discovered check. The next one was too horrible to even talk about...
