With his last remark Abdallahkh shows the validity of the theme posed.Evidently he cannot cope with critique.

If you read the comment before that, I clearly said that I chose to be a jerk, it's a lifestyle kinda of thing, like with it belly

You chose to be a jerk? Well congratulations, you succeeded. Shame there isn't a trophy for that, you would have many.

The easiest way that I use that works 100% of the time is just to ignore players like that or joke around with them. This guy on ICC: Extractor, insulted me after he lost and kept spamming the rematch and saying that he would crush me. I just agreed that he would. A little while later, we played and I won again. He later accused me of computer play. I suggested that he report me, and he said he might. I (indirectly) argued that he should report me, and eventually he had to say that he would. I had a really good time actually. I'm still on ICC, so I'm betting his report failed or (more likely) nothing happened at all.

You can have some fun with these types of players. Block them also if they cause too mcuh trouble, although I've never had to do that. There are also many nice players; you'll find them soon enough.

lol, I just realized Extractor... is the op of this thread. Not the same one of course, but that is a really funny coincidence.

So, OP asks why peope are rude. Thread quickly degenerates into... this.

Not sure if I ought to laugh or weep. But I think you got your answer, Extractor.

Soo you want people to say good game after every game??

well I don't see that happenning.

I myself do it only if the games are not onesided(at all..like position is equal till endgame where some one made tacticall mistakes not blunders I usually make sure they are by making a mistake in the beggining).

and then there are the jerks and sore loosers who call yo a cheater no matter how dumb their mistake was.

If you want to play polite chess I think play it in real (like in tournaments)

denner

I don't mind if people choose to jerks like our poster abdallahkh, I just either ignore them or crush them. But I do make 1 request of that breed of people- don't reproduce.

heine-borel

I don't think you really need to request him to do that ;)

Get a  life, guys. I am on chess.com to play chess not to deal with niceties or pussyfooting!

Sorry old chap but it goes against my nature to back down from a verbal
challenge. I do however, get the impression that Ab Dull is only a kid and has yet to learn the art of conversation. Enjoy your chess and have a good day. Smile

"On the chess-board lies and hypocrisy do not survive long." - Em. Laske

This quote was before computer came into play we would have to change it to:

"On-line chess lies and hypocrisy do survive long." -  with credit for initial thought to Em. Laske
