A Proposal for a new variant; Trick Chess

Imagine this grandmasters.... Chess. But with unlock-able abilities.

There could be a variant where you can choose 1, 2 or even 3 special tricks to be used against your opponent while they also use their own on you. Some of them you unlock by getting achievements in chess.com. But a couple are freely accessible from the start. Below are some examples:

Revenir: A free trick, A one turn trick that allows you to choose a piece of yours that was captured earlier, and lets you place it back in the game anywhere around your king and give it a free turn unless it causes a checkmate.

Stampede: A free trick, moves all of your pawns 2 tiles forward, jumping over any other pieces and capturing whatever's on the square they land on. This can only be done 13 or more turns into a game.

Smart Pawns: A trick unlocked by getting the "Wrongly Pawned" achievement (what i'd name an achievement where you move a pawn to cause checkmate) With this, you pawns can move left or right one square as a move.

Polygamy: A trick unlocked by getting the "Skyscrapers" achievement ( checkmate the enemy king while you control three rooks). This would warrant a changed chess rule where only one queen can be controlled by either player, (you can only promote a queen if you lost your's already, besides, we really need a reason to promote to a rook or a bishop). This trick would make it so you can have as many queens as you want, effectively negating the new rule.

Evasive Mate: A trick unlocked by getting the "Knights who say Ni" achievement (check the enemy king with a knight 3 times in a row). When your King is placed into checkmate and you have this trick, instantly capture the piece that delivered checkmate. It only happens once but you can have multiple of it in 2 or 3 trick games.

Deteration: A trick unlocked by getting the "Holy Hand Grenade" achievement (capture the enemy queen the turn after your opponent uses it to capture one of your pieces, using a bishop). A one use trick that lets you freeze any one of your opponents pieces for their next 3 turns, meaning the piece can be captured "or checkmated if it's the king" but cannot be moved at all.

If anyone has an idea for a trick, then it can be posted here. It can change how a piece works, it can completely change the rules of the game. Whatever the flip you want to be an ability. It can be shared! If not then no worries, this was designed to make chess even more open ended.
