Hmmm... never heard of a rook getting trapped on d3.
I think you rook was trapped after Rd2.. You at least avoided losing the other rook too by playing Be5, had you played Bd6 then it's a lot worse for you.... e8=Q+ wins the a8 rook, while the d3 rook is still trapped.
